A Pastel Bridal Bouquet with a Lavender Thread

Floral Design Spotlight · Bows and Arrows Flowers

Lavender flowers carry the eye through this bridal bouquet from Bows and Arrows Flowers. Pale peach and cream faces soften the color while fine outer stems keep the silhouette loose.

Repeat a color through the center

Lavender appears at several heights rather than in one isolated patch. That repetition gives the mixed bouquet a visual thread, helping the eye move through the different flower shapes.

Mix large faces with smaller details

Rounder pale blooms give the bouquet substance while little flower clusters break up the surface. We like how the smaller details keep the pastel colors from becoming one indistinct cloud.

Let the lower edge wander

A few flowers and fine stems extend below the main body. Their changing lengths give the bouquet a gentle downward direction while the fuller upper portion remains the clear focus.

Try the idea in your own style

Choose three pastel colors and draw a bouquet with one repeated from top to bottom. Mix larger circles with small clusters, then add just a few lower extensions to test the outline.
