A Simple Peony Jar with Open Golden Centers
Floral Design Spotlight · Honeysuckle and Hilda
Honeysuckle and Hilda keeps this peony display simple: pink and white flowers in a clear jar by the window. Open golden centers add detail without needing extra flower types.

Let the opening stages vary
Some flowers show broad open centers while others remain more layered. That difference gives a single-flower display several textures and keeps the heads from looking like identical repeated balls.
Use pink to separate the white faces
Pink flowers sit among the paler blooms rather than forming a separate bunch. Their gentle contrast helps define the individual heads where several large petals overlap near the jar.
Leave the glass visible
The clear container shows a simple group of stems beneath the flowers. That quieter lower section balances the generous heads above and makes the arrangement feel straightforward and approachable.
Try the idea in your own style
Arrange a few large flowers in a plain jar, turning some slightly sideways. Compare the shapes of open and more layered blooms. Keep the container visible and let the flowers provide the main detail.
