Bright Pink Flowers and Green Trails on Pale Display Plinths

Floral Design Spotlight · Floral Menagerie

Simple pale plinths can give colorful flowers a clear setting. Floral Menagerie uses separate bright groupings and long green trailing lines in this rooftop scene, leaving space around the individual displays.

Let the plain supports contrast with detailed flowers

The pale straight-sided plinths have much simpler surfaces than the many petals above them. That contrast makes the colorful flower groupings feel especially clear within the wider scene.

Repeat pink while changing the flower heights

Pink appears across the separate groupings, with some stems reaching farther upward than others. The shared color connects the pieces without requiring every display to have an identical outline.

Use trailing green to connect flowers with their bases

Long green lines fall down beside the pale supports. Their movement carries some of the floral texture below the main heads and changes how tall the full displays feel.

Try the idea in your own style

Draw three simple pale rectangles and add related pink flower shapes above them. Give each grouping a different height and try one downward line. Explore the proportions on paper before planning any real elevated display and its secure support.
