Pale Asters Against Deep Burgundy Bouquet Details
Floral Design Spotlight · Fleuropean
Pale lavender asters stand out beside darker burgundy flowers in this Fleuropean bouquet. The contrast gives a soft palette more depth while long fine stems keep the lower edge loose.

Let the dark areas stay concentrated
Deeper flower colors gather in smaller patches among the pale faces. Their presence helps the lighter flowers show clearly without turning the entire bouquet into a dark, heavy mass.
Use the asters as connecting points
Small pale purple faces appear in several areas through the bouquet. Their repeated shape helps connect the different flower groups and gives the eye a route through the stronger color contrasts.
Keep the lower shape fine
The bouquet's lower details are narrower and more widely spaced than the fuller upper area. That taper adds movement while allowing the main flower faces to remain the center of attention.
Try the idea in your own style
Draw a pale bouquet and add three small burgundy patches. Place fine lavender marks between them. Compare how the darker areas change the depth before deciding whether the design needs more flowers.
