Pale Pink Flower Faces with Long Green Trailing Strands

Floral Design Spotlight · Floral Menagerie

A few long trailing strands can change the shape of a handheld bouquet. Floral Menagerie pairs pale pink flowers with smoother broad faces and green tassel-like lines in this sculptural design.

Mix soft petals with smoother broad shapes

The larger heart-like faces sit beside roses and an open pink bloom. Their simpler surfaces offer a different texture from the many little petal folds nearby, keeping the pale palette interesting.

Let the green strands travel below the hand

Long tassel-like details fall well beneath the main flower heads. Their downward direction makes the whole bouquet feel longer and gives it movement beyond the gathered upper section.

Keep the tallest flowers easy to distinguish

The upper heads sit at different levels rather than along one even line. That variation lets their individual outlines remain visible, even where the lower materials gather more closely.

Try the idea in your own style

Sketch a small bouquet with a few broad flower shapes above and fine lines trailing below. Try different lengths on paper. If you make a little vase version, choose materials and suitable support that allow the downward lines to remain visible.
