Spread the brightest colors across the group

Pink, yellow and orange appear at several points rather than in separate stripes. The repeated colors help the eye move from one flower to another through the whole visible arrangement.

Give open flower faces a clear place

Broad pink petals with yellow centers stand apart from the smaller clustered details. Their simpler shapes give us something clear to notice among the many fine stems and green leaves.

Let the setting provide a firm contrast

The dark wooden rail and straight stair edges sit behind loose flower shapes. That difference makes the flowers feel especially lively while keeping the staircase's own lines easy to recognize.

Try the idea in your own style

Try a little pink-and-yellow arrangement beside a darker piece of furniture. Photograph it, then move it against a pale wall. Notice which flower shapes stand out in each setting before deciding where you'd most enjoy displaying your own version.
