Soft Pink Bells and Fine Purple Lines in a Bridal Bouquet

Floral Design Spotlight · Vervain Flowers

The little spaces between flowers can be as lovely as the flowers themselves. Vervain Flowers shares a bridal bouquet where pale pink bell-shaped blooms and fine purple sprays give fuller flower heads a loose, gently moving frame.

Mix hanging shapes with outward-facing flowers

The pale bell-shaped flowers point down among fuller faces that turn toward us. Those different directions make the bouquet interesting without needing every stem to occupy a separate height.

Use fine detail around the lower edge

Tiny purple details extend beyond the main flowers near the bottom. Their branching lines soften the outline and connect the denser center with the open space around it.

Let a few dark touches sharpen the soft colors

Small burgundy areas appear among the pale pinks and greens. Those darker points help the gentler colors stand apart instead of blending into the light background.

Try the idea in your own style

Choose a familiar upright flower and one with a naturally hanging shape. Hold them together before building a bouquet and try two different angles. Notice how the directions change the outline. Work with each stem’s natural shape rather than forcing a bend to copy this design.
