Two Airy Spring Flower Columns with Tall Leafy Tips

Floral Design Spotlight · Blue Poppy Florist

Two flower columns can feel connected without forming a closed arch. Blue Poppy Florist leaves the space between these spring groupings open and gives each side its own leafy reach.

Leave the upper center open

The two sides rise separately with no floral bridge across the top. That open center lets the room stay visible and makes the taller leafy tips feel more distinct.

Change the texture from bottom to top

The bases carry fuller clusters of pink, peach and pale flowers. Higher sections show more separated stems and fresh green leaves, giving the eye a lighter shape as it travels upward.

Share colors while varying the outline

Both columns use a similar soft spring palette, but their outer edges are not identical. The repeated colors create a relationship without making each stem on one side need a matching partner.

Try the idea in your own style

Sketch two separate flower columns in a doorway outline. Give each a full base and a few light upper lines, then vary their heights. Keep this as a drawing exercise; a finished large installation needs its own secure structural plan.

This is our suggested design exercise, not the creator’s recipe or a reconstruction of their method.
