White Roses and Fine Green Branches in a Rounded Pot
Floral Design Spotlight · Lucy Hunter
White roses sit among wandering green branches in this arrangement by Lucy Hunter. The rounded earthy pot gives the flowers a quiet base, while fine stems reach into the empty space around them.

Let the container settle the design
The broad rounded pot has a simple surface and a substantial shape. It gives the eye somewhere calm to rest below the much finer details of the flowers, leaves and branching stems.
Spread light flowers through the center
Several white rose faces stand out against darker greenery. They form separate pale points rather than one continuous white mass, helping the eye move from one part of the arrangement to another.
Leave the longest branches room
Fine stems extend well beyond the main flower group and toward the wall behind. Their open spacing makes the arrangement feel larger without filling its entire outline with leaves or petals.
Try the idea in your own style
Draw a rounded pot and three separate white flower groups. Add a few long, fine branches that reach beyond them. Keep the space around each branch mostly empty so its direction remains easy to follow.
