Arena Lisianthus – Apricot: Plant Profile and Care

Apricot lisianthus flowers and buds from the Lisadora catalog listing — Illustrative catalog photograph: Lisadora Lisianthus Plugs – Apricot III. The pictured species or cultivar may differ from this profile’s named reference; this is not a verification of current stock. Image credit: Johnny’s Selected Seeds, as credited in the catalog.

Arena Lisianthus – Apricot — Eustoma grandiflorum — Arena III Apricot. Our catalog describes fully double apricot flowers and identifies this Arena selection as Group 3. Takii’s own cultivar page corroborates the named III Apricot identity. This is a plug-plant offer for growing cut flowers rather than a finished bouquet.

Light and placement

NC State recommends morning sun and afternoon shade.

Water and growing medium

Use moist, well-drained soil.

An arranging exercise

Try a warm apricot flower beside both cream and blush pink, then select the combination that supports the arrangement’s intended mood. Keep the plant’s series and color label attached through transplanting. The number of plugs in a tray is separate from the eventual number of flowers available for cutting.

Choosing the plant for your space

Compare the identity on your plant label with the botanical name above. A pot diameter identifies the container offered for sale; it does not establish the plant’s mature size or a named cultivar. Before choosing a permanent place, consider the light there, the available room and how you will check the growing medium. The source links below provide further botanical context.
