Choosing a place for Colorblaze Cherry Drop Coleus
The breeder’s light rating is Sun or Shade, with a mounding trailing growth habit. Start with that exposure when comparing locations. Its stated container role is a spiller. Allow space at the container edge for the eventual trailing growth, and keep the display clear of a walking route.
The breeder lists this plant as an annual. Plan the display as seasonal color and use local frost conditions when deciding when to place a tender plant outside.
Watering and ongoing care
The breeder classifies water needs as average. A water category is a starting point rather than a fixed weekly schedule: container size, weather and the condition of the growing medium affect when a plant needs attention. Review the current variety-specific maintenance guidance for feeding and pruning instructions. Match the guidance to the named variety rather than transferring a routine from a different plant with a similar common name.
Questions before you plant
How much space should I allow?
The listed mature spread is 18 - 24 Inches. Use mature dimensions when planning a combination; the pot size on a shop listing describes the item offered rather than its eventual garden size.
When does this plant provide interest?
The breeder records its flowering or interest period as grown for foliage. Seasonal descriptions are planning guidance, not a promise of a particular flowering date in every climate.
