Mega Millions™ Rudbeckia — Rudbeckia 'Dahlonega' — Mega Millions. Mega Millions is a perennial black-eyed Susan with golden-yellow flowers and dark centers. Plants Nouveau identifies it as Dahlonega, selected by Richard Saul, and lists a size around 30 inches tall by 36–48 inches wide.
Light and placement
Choose full sun.
Water and growing medium
Plants Nouveau recommends moist, well-drained conditions in average garden soil.
Make room for the summer display
The reference places flowering in mid-to-late summer and identifies borders and cutting gardens as uses. Mark the mature width before planting. For a design exercise, compare the dark flower centers with a darker focal flower in an arrangement; the idea is an editorial suggestion rather than a claim about a measured vase life.
Choosing the plant for your space
Compare the identity on your plant label with the botanical name above. A pot diameter identifies the container offered for sale; it does not establish the plant’s mature size or a named cultivar. Before choosing a permanent place, consider the light there, the available room and how you will check the growing medium. The source links below provide further botanical context.
