FAQs
Please read our FAQs page to find out more.
When should I plant my dahlia tubers?
Plant your tubers outdoors after the last frost date in your area—when the soil has warmed and the risk of freezing has passed, usually in late spring.
How deep should I plant the tubers?
Plant each tuber about 4–6 inches deep, with the eye (growth point) facing up. Space plants about 18–24 inches apart to allow room for growth.
Will each tuber grow into a full plant?
Yes! As long as the tuber has at least one viable “eye,” it has the potential to grow into a full, flowering dahlia plant.
Do you guarantee your tubers?
We guarantee our tubers are healthy and viable at the time of shipping. Due to variables like climate, soil, and care, we can’t guarantee growth—but we’re always happy to offer planting advice!
How should I store tubers if I can’t plant them right away?
Keep tubers in a cool, dry, and dark place (like a basement or garage) until you’re ready to plant. Avoid freezing temps or excess moisture to prevent rot.
